MSPO 2022 is an international trade exhibition for the defense industry that features a comprehensive display of military technologies. This year’s 30th annual event offered, in addition to the expo, excellent lectures and guided tours covering a wide range of topics from the defense sector.

Visitors, who are largely decision makers from companies in the industry and managers of suppliers, can learn about the latest trends and solutions for their industry and take advantage of opportunities to develop new businesses at these conferences. This year’s event drew over 11,000 people and 400 exhibiting companies from 27 countries.

MGM COMPRO took the opportunity of one of the largest defense industry events to make many interesting contacts from different areas of the defense industry. We were glad to hear from a number of different companies that are developing a variety of solutions for the military sector in the field of drones and e-VTOLs. For us, events like the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO are essential. We can not only interact with a variety of interesting businesses, but we can also ensure that electric propulsion systems are the way to go.
This year marks the eighth year of Zebra Group on the market. This Pardubice start-up has gone a long way in the development of specialized utility vehicles for a variety of applications such as winter maintenance, urban road cleaning, and so on.
There is no doubt that MGM COMPRO is enthusiastic about this idea. Another project in which we have successfully brought a utility vehicle to the streets of the cities to assist people. Zebra Group vehicles have been provided to a number of construction enterprises, municipalities, and technical services in numerous countries. The vehicles are capable of carrying over 45 different types of interchangeable bodies thanks to innovative development and component advancements. The multi-purpose vehicles have three-circuit hydraulics that transport bodies in the front, back, and hull.
The MGM COMPRO team has a long history of collaboration with the ZEBRA Group and supports their vision of electrifying utility vehicles. Our teams collaborated to create the first ElZebra generation, which involved the integration of our speed controllers as well as the debugging and testing of the battery systems and the entire vehicle power unit.
The successful implementation of the 4×4 drive is a major step in development. New Zebra electric vehicles are now even better at riding in snow or where off-road conditions are significantly impaired. As a result, the car now has electric motors not just at the back but also at the front axle.
However, the ElZebra project is far from over. Our team is looking forward to the future challenges that the development of this utility vehicle will offer.

MGM COMPRO is part of a very innovative project that will influence the future of public air mobility. Our company partnered up with Airev Aero, an Israeli company developing the AIR ONE e-VTOL project, for which we supply our electric propulsion systems. Our electric speed controllers and electric motors complement each other excellently to provide a superior weight&size-to-power ratio.
Read more about their first successful take-off or follow the whole journey of this project on Airev Aero official website.

At the end of June, one of MGM COMPRO’s representatives visited Japan to enhance current collaboration with our local partners, introduce our latest and upcoming products, and make numerous new contacts in the Japanese market. This journey was joined by representatives from the Czech Aerospace Cluster and others.
One of the goals of this business trip was to meet with our current HIEN Aero partner. This company is primarily focused on the creation of an innovative eVTOL drone with an emphasis on scalability and range. MGM COMPRO strongly supports this initiative and is proud to have contributed to the development of this product that will define the future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
We met quite thematically with our colleagues from HIEN Aero at the Japan Drone Expo. It is one of Japan’s largest exhibitions of its kind. This year’s event drew more than 50 commercial and non-commercial drone companies and groups. In general, Japanese technology is clearly one of the finest. This is backed by the attention to detail and precision in Japanese technology.

Another of our interesting partners in Japan is Olympos Aircraft. The emphasis here is on producing small, lightweight aircraft in line with client specifications. Olympos Aircraft is a forward-thinking company that likes to accept challenges. We discussed ongoing projects and how they might be enhanced.
Another purpose of this business trip was to introduce our company’s current portfolio and upcoming new products to new potential partners in Japan. As a result, a representative from our company met with IHI Aerospace, Jaxa, and many other interesting companies and institutions in the field…
IHI Aerospace specializes in military systems, space exploration, and aerospace components for research and development, and manufacture. Their efforts are always growing and progressing. We focused on determining possible places of synergy for future collaboration in the field of electric aviation.
JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) is a space research organization. It functions similarly to NASA in the United States. At a meeting between representatives of MGM COMPRO and JAXA, we looked for common interests and possible connections for future cooperation.
We are really delighted to our partners at the EU-Japan Business Development Center for introducing us to new Japanese businesses. We’d want to acknowledge Fuji Corp. and Elematec Corporation, with whom we’ve had long and successful cooperation. Both companies see a lot of potential in our upcoming projects.

MGM COMPRO has once again participated in EUROSATORY 2022, Europe’s largest military fair. This event is held every two years and our company is always present to pick up military technology news and meet with our customers and partners.

This year’s event featured numerous innovations and changes. The spotlight was on the use of tactical autonomous drones, which have been shown to be highly effective in current conflicts. The drones are mainly used for mapping, but there are also larger types that can transport cargo to a specific location and do other missions as well.

There were also quite fascinating designs of electric bikes for the military using electric propulsion.
EUROSATORY 2022 was full of fresh concepts, innovative approaches, and many other novelties. We look forward to attending EUROSATORY 2024 as a member of the Official Czech National booth.
In early April MGM COMPRO visited Canada to engage with existing partners as well as new partnerships with local companies. Our organization considers it critical to maintain ties with our partners, regardless of distance.
One of the main goals of this business trip was to deepen existing ties with our partners. We met with Bell helicopters, who are involved in developing many e-VTOL, Drone, and Multirotor applications. They were the first to break the sound barrier and certify a commercial helicopter, making them pioneers. We are proud to be part of their projects. In terms of our current collaboration of MGM COMPRO with Bell Helicopter, we are both looking forward to future innovations.

SkyCanoe is also one of our partners. They are known for making the world’s most advanced remotely piloted electric aircraft. This aircraft is self-sufficient, emits no emissions, and is a form of long-range freight aircraft. SkyCanoe wants to save clients money while also stimulating economic growth, not only in distant parts of Canada but also globally. Our Senior Project Manager went to Montréal where he met with both of our partners at their headquarters.
However, MGM COMPRO would want to grow in Canada, therefore we showed our firm, products, and prospective collaboration opportunities to potential partners. That’s why our representative met with companies such as Tyto Robotics, PAW, and Bombardier.
Tyto Robotics is an aeronautical company founded in 2014 by two University of Ottawa master’s students. Their company has developed substantially, and they now provide a variety of products to clients all around the world. NASA has been one of their customers, with whom MGM COMPRO also worked.
Bombardier is a global aviation pioneer and is developing innovative and game-changing jets. Their business jets are designed to be dependable, energy-efficient, safe as well as pleasant, all while contributing to extremely low operating expenses.

Third of the visited companies was Pratt & Whitney which believes that powered flight has altered the course of history. And it will change things even further. They focus on sustainable aviation by designing, building, and servicing the world’s most modern airplane engines, which reliably convey passengers to their final destinations.
We spoke with them about involving our products in their projects, which are ideal for usage in areas other than only e-flight mobility. We also talked about how our firms’ collaboration may be advantageous to both of us.
Last but not least we would like to mention CzechTrade who helped us to partake in this business trip. The Ministry of Industry and Trade established this national pro-export association to encourage international trade and mutual collaboration between Czech and foreign organizations. We are grateful for opportunities such as these, which enable us to retain positive connections with our current partners while also expanding MGM COMPRO to other countries.

After two long years with only a few events and fewer personal meetings, we finally returned to reality. The gates of AERO Friedrichshafen opened for us this year and the MGM COMPRO team was one of this year’s exhibitors. What was the trade fair all about this year?

All electrically focused projects and enterprises were put together in one spot within the exhibitor halls at Aero Friedrichshafen. This year’s location was Hall A7, which was completely dedicated to green energy. All electrically focused exhibitors also from other halls were tagged with a green balloon throughout the exhibition, among other things, to make it simple to distinguish them from combustion planes and other enterprises. Visitors could see new eVTOLs, gliders, drones, electric aircraft and other products from further companies. In addition to brand new projects, there were well-known companies but also our existing clients such as TUM, Song, Helix, Evektor, Breezer, Pure flight, Bee Appliance and others. It was wonderful to see all the familiar faces again.
Our MGM COMPRO team had a difficult time preparing for this trade fair. Many fresh concepts and ideas had to be merged in a short period of time so that we could provide visitors or new potential clients with all the information they needed about the electric propulsion systems we provide.
Once we had clarified all the important tasks we had to do within AERO Friedrichshafen, there was nothing left to do but get on the road. It takes approximately 9 hours by car from Zlín to Friedrichshafen. Together with our team of project managers and a loaded car, we made it safely to Germany.

We conducted business discussions with our present partners on the first day of our expedition (Wednesday). We also discussed collaboration in the future development of e-flight mobility with new prospective clients. In terms of visits, the first day was not quite as busy. This gave us the opportunity to fine-tune the stand and prepare for the other days.
Our mission’s second day (Thursday) progressed rapidly. Our project managers were introducing our products to new trade fair attendees. We were able to make even more new contacts. Aside from that, the weather was lovely the entire day, and people were able to enjoy the program outdoors of the different venues.
Day 3 (Friday) went off without a hitch and was really productive. We also paid a visit to our customer the Technical University of Munich, and their well-known yellow ambulance. Together we collaborated on several projects in aviation, the maritime sector, and mass transit networks. The Technical University of Munich is now working on a flying application that may be used for a variety of functions such as medical supply delivery, etc.
For the duration of the trade show, we also collaborated with a firm named Helix. We were sharing with them part of their own stand and they shared their part as well. Together we showed the visitors their awesome Helix propellers and electric motors we as MGM Compro sell.

On Day 4 (Saturday), all exhibitors expected a significant number of visitors, and all halls were fully prepared. Unfortunately, heavy rain fell on Saturday morning, which disrupted the morning program. The afternoon then cleared up and everything went as planned.
After four busy days, we and our team had made a bunch of new contacts and gained so much new knowledge about the latest innovations in our field. Despite the magnificence of Friedrichshafen, we continued our journey back to Zlín. We had such a great time throughout all days of AERO Friedrichshafen. We were able to spend time with our clients as well as with you as a visitor. We are excited for next year and hope it will be even better.

If you did not have the opportunity to meet with us or discuss your project. Please contact us to schedule a meeting to discuss your concept. We are open to a new cooperation with everyone who desires to advance in the realm of electric propulsion systems.
NASA along with Masten aero is getting closer to landing a commercial payload on the moon by 2023. How did they get this fantastic opportunity? Masten got this opportunity from NASA to transport payloads to the lunar surface or lunar orbit. Masten will deliver a set of NASA’s science and technology payloads with room on the lander for additional commercial payloads.

The project itself is slightly delayed because of the covid pandemic, but they still plan to land on the moon in 2023. In 2021 both companies were already working on the first phase, which involved completing the concept design. The biggest challenge will come in the second phase in which the engineers have to come up with a solution on how to withstand harsh lunar conditions. However, they would like to complete the second phase next year.
In this project, there are 2 lunar landers. The first one is called „Xelene“ and it will be made in partnership with NASA’s Lunar CATALYST program. Xelene is designed with Masten’s knowledge of vertical take-off and Nasa’s experience of vertical rocket landing. This lunar lander will carry science stuff from NASA also with a commercial payload to the south pole of the Moon in 2023.
The second lunar lander is called „Xeus“. It’s one of Masten’s concepts which they were developing at great length. It’s capable of demonstrating heavy lift cargo delivery to the Moon. Xeus is specially developed to provide easy access to the moon’s surface after the landing to unload a large payload.
The technology Masten is using is mainly based on reusability, reducing cost, and increasing the reliability of future missions. As they claim, their technology can safely land any payload anywhere in the solar system.
When Masten aero will land on the Moon, it will be another success for MGM COMPRO as the main supplier of speed controllers for this project. We believe that everything will go according to plan and the year 2023 will be successful for both Masten’s and NASA.

Our collaboration started in 2016 and MGM COMPRO has a strong belief and fingers crossed for the future of this product. As the Waterrebels team itself says – “Our future is electric, be a rebel.”
On the road to a more sustainable society, we must also consider the possibility of adapting the means of transport already built and continuing to use better and greener versions of them. NUNCATS, under the leadership of founder and CEO Tim Bridge, has transformed a previously used aircraft and given it a new electrified life thanks to his vision. At MGM COMPRO, we are happy to be part of a real story with the potential to help humanity in remote areas for whom we can bring a chance at a better life.

NUNCATS, and the “Skyjeep” project aims to provide cheap and sustainable transport to deliver doctors, teachers and medical supplies to remote communities across Africa, where roads are unreliable, but there is plenty of sunshine for recharging future aircrafts by their solar arrays. NUNCATS hopes that „Skyjeep“ will do for air transport what its namesake the original “Jeep” did for wartime road transport.
Tim and his team are very smart and not only is the electrified aircraft a great plan but the whole idea of solar charging technology takes it to the next level. NUNCATS has also come up with the first-ever solar aircraft charging hangar in Europe, located at Old Buckingham Airport, and there are plans to expand these hangars to locations where they will be needed.
We happily supplied our battery system which is always adjusted to the customer’s needs. Based on the customer’s requirements MGM COMPRO team can provide the optimal solution with the balance between energy density and the „C-rate“ bringing the best possible ratio of size and weight to delivered performance.

Vita Inclinata is expanding its product range and we are proud to be their official supplier of motor controllers for several years. All motor controllers are tailored to their requirements and have special firmware modifications to achieve the best and most efficient performance.
Vita Inclinata is known for its life-saving system that is used to help people in critical situations and save lives. This time we would like to introduce you to their next product – the load navigator.
The load navigator is a system with heavy-duty stabilisation manufactured for cranes making navigating loads faster, safer and much more precise. It is mounted to spreader bars and is designed for bigger loads up to 39,000 kilograms.
One of its great advantages is the “position keeping” function. This function keeps the load stable in the pre-set orientation while wind or slew has no impact on it. Advantages include continuous load calibration or 20-40 ton configuration options. Precision and controls of loads with an easy-to-use pendant are the main advantages for companies to keep their workers safe. Caleb Carr, the CEO and the founder of the company Vita Inclinata said, this technology is currently in use in Dubai. He also mentioned that in New York, the state regulators are working to mandate the load navigator on every crane. The load navigator saves time and improves working safer conditions for every person around.
Safety is the No. 1 priority
If you would like to learn more about this load navigator, feel free to visit their Facebook or Youtube.

Rescue system by vita Inclinata has a heartbreaking story. „Why the hell don‘t you fix it?“ were THE words which brought us here.
The whole story starts in 2009 when the founder of the company Vita Inclinata, Caleb Carr, went through hell during a routine training mission in the mountains. One of his friends Don was in cardiac arrest right next to him. When minutes felt like hours and all of them waited for the rescue team, another disaster came along. The emergency team wasn’t able to get to the disparate group of young people with injured Don who needed medical help immediately. They tried their best but the rescue basket from the helicopter was swinging back and forth and was unable to get down because of the wild wind. Don, unfortunately, hasn’t been able to be transferred to the hospital, and sadly they have to call it the time of the death. This situation changed life not only for the founder of the company but many others as may you don’t know, the real systemic problem is linked to this unfortunate event. Studies prove that nearly 24 people die every day just based on the same circumstances.
This situation and later on the advice of his professor, who pushed him into thinking about the solution to his traumatic experience, resulted in creating an invention that will change everything. It was followed by the first idea of the now well-known rescue system.
After many years of research, ideas, development, and rejections, Vita Inclinata came up with a literally life-changing project which stops swinging the rescue basket or any other load within the seconds. Feel free to see the demonstration in the video down below.
Their rescue system is a lightweight and at the same time quick-attach unit. It’s compatible with various rescue kits. Its primary role is to enable helicopter greater speed, safety, and control over the hoisting operations. It’s able to autonomously stabilize rescue hoist spin and swing so that the emergency will be able to help people without many environmental difficulties.
Because of its own technical quality, this device, as we call it “rescue system” can be used in other ways, such as the stabilization of large loads. As you can see in the video.
MGM COMPRO is the main supplier of motor controllers in this unique project. Our motor controllers are a great match for such applications. They offer complex brushless DC motor management and many possibilities of settings, connectivity as well as diagnostics, which were crucial mainly during the development stage of the project. With the company Vita Inclinata, we have been long-term partners and like to hope our collaboration will continue further.
Feel free to read more about our partners’ projects and their story.
How long would it take for the truck or van to cross the traffic jam in the middle of the day in the metropolitan city or to travel far away out of the town? Wouldn’t it be easier to use the drone instead? With transportation of the critical life-saving medical material, important spare parts or any other goods we need the transfer in the shortest possible period of time – aerial logistics is the solution. We would significantly cut down the delivery time and would be able to reach out to places, which are hard to get to.
That is why we will take a moment to talk about our partner Volans-i and their autonomous VTOL projects.
Volans-i’s autonomous VTOL unmanned aircraft is capable of transporting heavy payloads, up to 50 pounds, over long distances. On July 18th, 2021 Volans-i completed the first-ever delivery between two moving U.S. Navy vessels each several miles away. No runways or pilots were required, vertical landing brings the delivery anywhere you need it – open water or rough terrain – there are no limitations. Volans-i’s VTOL can travel up to 100 miles in distance directly to the destination with a top speed of 200 mph. In comparison with direct competitors, Volans-i’s delivery time is 5 times shorter.
We’ve had a lot of exciting visitors at our Bend facility lately, including @nwNewsNetwork‘s @TomBanse, who put together this awesome story on our move to Central Oregon and how we can solve supply chain problems for customers. #FlyVolyhttps://t.co/SLvEcNqNfJ
— Volansi (@volans_i) October 21, 2021
We have been suppling Brushless DC motor controllers which are a great match for the multirotor applications since MGM COMPRO looks at every project individually and configures the motor controllers according to the particular needs of the application.
Feel free to learn more about Volans-i VTOL.

Who is X-Sun? However, their name would probably not give you any idea, this company offers autonomous flying machines. Their SolarXOne is the first energy-independent drone ever. The X-Sun drone is even possible to make its own decisions. This company came up with an innovation – they created a drone for automated missions to boost your activities. Sounds good, right? Let’s learn more about it.
The design of this drone is quite specific. It consists of 3 types of quality and each one is specific and very important for this drone to function properly.

This quality is responsible for the maximum amount of solar power captured by the cell surface for the drone to be energy-independent. Thanks to this, it has very good aerodynamics performance.
A combination of the latest cellular and satellite technology is the best choice for the drone to give you the best connection between the drone and the control center while being secure and permanent.
As the X-Sun says, their system was created to distribute and control the power between different systems and the high-performance batteries and at the same time being ultra-reliable, having high performance and being backed-up all the time.
The X-Sun drone has a light and resistant structure thanks to the latest manufacturing innovations. It also offers an ultra-performance system giving you the ability to configure it the way you want it as well as automation of all drone flight phases. All of this brings you the flexibility to meet the drone flights regulations and maximum safety. Using AI (artificial intelligence) enables it to be fully alert all the time.
For this fully electric system, MGM COMPRO provided motor controllers. To be specific, it was our HBCi10063 and HBCi20063 motor controller to provide the best quality possible. We are really proud to be part of this and have our fingers crossed for their success.
To learn more about their project, check out the X-SUN.
We would like to announce to you another collaboration. This time we would like to talk about the partnership with Breezer and their aircraft B400-6 UL in electric conversion, which has been developed by MGM COMPRO.

Our products helped them to electrify their model B400-6 UL. As this company claims, flying their aircraft is something very special. Although it’s a sporty aircraft, it’s maximally safe and has high-quality workmanship. Definitely, you would not be surprised, if we told you, that this aircraft is being made in Germany.

We are really proud to be part of this project and are looking forward to our continuing partnership. Looking forward to bringing you more news about the electric version. If you would like to learn more about their project, you can check out the Breezer website or Facebook page.
They have gone from flying car to flying crane in a short period of time and are now developing the next generation of precision flying cranes.
Airflight Team, as they like to refer themselves, are passionate dreamers & creative change-makers. We would like to add so – team of spectacular specialists.
This time we had an astonishing opportunity to be part of their next project – flying crane AF200.
We received an order for electric motors, motor controllers, battery system, customized charging system, accessories – line for line everything that makes the complex electric propulsion system consisting of. And yet at the moment, we are still working on the new BETTER system.
Airflight Flying Crane AF200 is able to lift and deliver weight up to 200 kilograms payload with high precision. That’s especially impressive considering the full weight which is „only“ 190 kilograms because 95% of the body and frame is built from carbon fiber.
This project is designed to be light and strong. The power to weight ratio is 1.54 which is, just for your imagination, over 3 times higher than Lamborghini Aventador.

The flying crane is able to automatically take off and land safely, allowing you to focus purely on your payload and the people around you.
Crane AF200 is fitted with a variety of sensors giving it the ability to automatically detect and avoid any obstacles in its environment. This keeps operations safe for both people and equipment.
The whole setup procedure saves you plenty of time – AF200 is ready to operate in less than 30 minutes.
Thank you for being our long-term partner, we appreciate our highly professional relationship and we are excited to see what the future brings us.
Company Samad Aerospace based in the United Kingdom took a big bite by coming with the idea of developing Heavy Lift VTOL for delivery not only in hybrid but also fully electrified version. As we expected not a long time ago we witnessed a successful demonstration flight.
The impressive design of the whole VTOL will excite with a very specific look of blended wings with the body (BWB). The whole configuration improves aerodynamics, efficient accommodating of the lift fans in the fuselage, more space inside the cabin, better noise characteristics, enhanced safety and more efficiency in the propulsion system.
They approached us to deliver 40kW REB 30 and 50kW REB 50 electric motors, also motor controllers of 100kW and 33 kW. They have been chosen for the hybrid version of VTOL and the electric propulsion system of the aircraft.
Hybrid has a gas turbine connected to a generator that charges the batteries, which provide the power for the electric lift and the cruise motors. Lifting up to 100 kg and flying magnificent 125 miles per hour. The VTOL aircraft can also use the hot thrust from the gas turbine for further cruise acceleration outside urban areas.
And on the other hand, the second version, fully electrified, is able to lift up to 60 kgs, speed 95 miles per hour and it is able to fly up to 3000 m high.
As they said, they delivered. Samad Aerospace has been working on the first flying prototype since 2018 and today we see heavy lifting VTOL S5M in action.
„Our dream is to revolutionize the way humans and goods fly around the world. To achieve that, a group of world-renowned experts in their respective fields – including aerodynamics, aircraft design and propulsion systems – are working together to develop a range of products that will redefine the air traveling experience. Imagine a transportation system that is safer than a car, completely flexible, as eco-friendly as an electric vehicle, less time-consuming than any plane or train and is as luxurious as a private jet. This is the unique combination of features that will be offered by e-Starling and Starling Jet in door-to-door human air transportation; thus completely changing the travel perspective.“ – source www.samadaerospace.com
We can to only agree with their philosophy and we will watch closely their next steps.
